Gray with white background and black lettering for the name on the cowl rings a bell......real sure on the gray part. Comes from OMC through a department store as I recall and is their 3 hp twin which is probably one of the smoothest running engines in the world for a 2 cyl. Is yours the fisherman or the yachtwin? The fisherman has the weedless lower unit canted at about 30 degrees and a weedless prop and the other is conventional. That little sucker was a real deal in vegetation infested water where the big BASS were hiding. Great little engine.

Mark, thanks for the input...but I was wrong on the year of my motor. I found out yesterday it is a 1949 1.5 HP Montgomenry Words model (#94GG9003A), I called a marine co. back east yesterday looking for parts and they corrected me on the year & model. Do you have any ideas where a guy can get parts? thanks Wes (Oregon)
What parts do you need? You need to check in at the Antique Outboard Motor Club's website www.aomci.org Also see their Webvertize ads page where you can post a wanted ad----for free.
