Gray with white background and black lettering for the name on the cowl rings a bell......real sure on the gray part. Comes from OMC through a department store as I recall and is their 3 hp twin which is probably one of the smoothest running engines in the world for a 2 cyl. Is yours the fisherman or the yachtwin? The fisherman has the weedless lower unit canted at about 30 degrees and a weedless prop and the other is conventional. That little sucker was a real deal in vegetation infested water where the big BASS were hiding. Great little engine.

51 was a transition year...could be aluminum silver with red tank and cowls or as tm described.

Mark, thanks for the input...but I was wrong on the year of my motor. I found out yesterday it is a 1949 1.5 HP Montgomenry Words model (#94GG9003A), I called a marine co. back east yesterday looking for parts and they corrected me on the year & model. Do you have any ideas where a guy can get parts? thanks Wes (Oregon)

There are numerous OLD OMC sites about. Just start your search engine and be creative in your title and you should come up with something. the www.oldomc site belongs to a guy in Germany but he could have advertisers on there who could help you. Don't quote me on the address. It's something like I showed you and has the added Germany ID; forgot what that was; du or something.
