Well - I got towed in today - the starter that I thought I fried finished its frying....

I actually told my wife about your possible launch driving home and went straight to the laptop to check!

Good luck

Kenny, Sorry to hear about your delay, but please tell me that you did not let them hook their waste drain pipe into your sewer!

LOL,
Darren

Kenny, that brings back the song from the old HEE HAW show, (I'm old)
Gloom, despair and agony on me, deep dark depression, excessive misery, if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.... be glad you can't hear me sing:p
Youre a better man than I my friend. Think I would call in sick today:D

Re: 1961 Starcraft - 'The whole' story

Thanks guys, Hopefully one day this week.

Hope to never see another rv in front of our house ever again, not knocking RV's , just very rude in my wife's and my eyes to visit without 'warning'{lol}... we don't have children and they have three little hellians to put it politely. If I would of invited them out on the boat, I think one or two of them may have been used for bait...wow what hand-fulls they are!!!

Dale, I'm old as well, and since you mentioned Hee Haw...my fav was...
"where oh where
are you tonight,
why did you leave me here all alone,
I've searched the world over and thought I found true love,
but you met another and {insert spit} you were gone".

Hey, your right! Lets blame T2 since he should have warned you about the impending visit. You could have left just a hour or two earlier. Man,...T2, back away from the beer and help us out.:p

Kinda...
Buddy who gave me the transom trolling motor, felt bad it didn't work{found out the Fwd/Rev switch is shot and NLA :(} and gave me his old bow mount motor{he just updated his this year...and yes it's great to have good friends}.

Anyways, I couldn't imagine trying to use it on my bow, so with a little hack job of both mounting systems...I got the bow motor mounted on the transom mount...

Maybe the only guy on the lake with a foot controlled transom troller..lol

Oh, did you mean an update on splashing? :D

Not yet  either been too damn hot or storming...this coming week it's supposed to be 10-15 degrees cooler and the forecast looks great rain-wise. So once again, I'll go out on a limb and say...hopefully this week

Are you off work this week? I'm still trying to either rustle up some moola to buy or borrow a spare...wouldn't trust these tires that are on it to make any lengthy trip without a back-up.

One of these days I'm going to have to get serious about finding a job :( all this time off is great, but with no spending money makes it almost useless LOL.

Kenny I did that trolling motor thing myself once. Is the motor facing the correct way? I had to remove the head at the top of the shaft and move the gears so it would face correctly. You can sometimes adjust at the pedal too.

I just flipped the indicator 180 degrees, may take a few to get the left/right thing set-in my mind/foot. I only use these things when fishing 'shallow' and with the closed bow, I feel more comfortable trolling in reverse you could say...lets me keep an eye out for stumps/ rocks etc....add in the fact, that I've always up till now, been a tiller seat captain ;)

In actuality I hope to get a gas kicker of some sort over the off season, and that's how I'll do my 'trolling'...Then the electric trolling motor will only be used as mentioned and as an extra emergency way in. Thanks though for concern, it means a lot!!! :)

Well I've rigged a transom-mount on the bow of my 12 footer, haven't seen the opposite conversion done but I like it.:)

^^^^Forgot to add...
No water taken on at all :D
Easy on & off loading
10Mph limit lake, looking forward now to St Clair to air it out, flat out!;)
Need a depth finder at the minimum, would like a fish finder gps set-up eventually.
Only two others on the lake this morning and got good compliments from them both, and another at the gas station on the way home :D
Man does she ever purr right along with no hiccups whatsoever.
