now Jason, no cabin envy there......you got your own dang cabin, it just sits on a trailer. seriously....our cabin is 12x18', your battleship prolly has more square footage.

Kenny, welcome to the mob scene. nice boat!

Looks like you may have found Heaven On Earth, Kenny. Roll out of bed into a boat. How great is that? :D

RJ here are couple more photo's of the kicker mount, it's rated for a 20hp 4 stroke, I can't find the brand name anywhere on it, I've had it for many years, seen others around like it.
Thanks again everyone for the kind and great comments, the cabin is on Vancouver Island near a place called Port Alberni the Lake is called Great Central Lake, one of the larger lakes on the Island , it is my next door neighbors cabin and I visit whenever I can ... Great to see a few other prairie boaters here as well... Go Riders

A word of warning, Kenny - You can't post too many pictures. It's Starmada rule # 3 or is it #14? I know it's one of the rules! :joyous:

Actually GA I think it's rules 3 thru 14.

You're right, DII. And rule 1 is post pictures. Rule 2 is repeat rule 1 until the Admiral asks for the camera back, then start rule 3-14.

OK here is an interesting piece of information about this Starcraft, the paperwork indicates that it's a "Fastback". The price of boats back in the day where much cheaper too.. lol.. and according to the rules I've added some a couple more photo,s. Boating day tomorrow if the weather holds... Have a great weekend all...

Re: 1968 22' Starcraft

hey kenny i see you are running with the kicker tilted up - is that needed? The one I bought says you don't need to. Also- what about trailering the things I read say do not with it on.

You have the complete package there. Kenny. Have you checked to see if the OMC Dealer Directory is still current? :)

JR. I have run with the kicker up like that many times, especially when pulling the kids on a tube or skis, this allows clearance for the tow rope attached very close to the kicker during turns. I haven't given it much thought, maybe I should check on that. It rides quite secure though with some bounce. In rough seas/waves the kicker is always locked all the way up not tilted. kennyo

I've never used OMC service cuz I never had an OMC, but all the experts say it's hard to find folks to work on them. Unfortunately too many boats suffer from poor or nonexistent maintenance. I don't think that's the case with your tinny. She looks too nice. :D
