Re: 1968 Glassmaster Runabout

A couple of days back I was able to get the roller bunks on the trailer.

Yesterday I had some comp-time so I was able to flip the boat back over and onto the trailer:

You may be wondering, "I thought the trailer was black?". I had some problems getting the new roller bunks installed on the black trailer. After putting some thought into it, I decided to go outback and see how they would go on the trailer that I came across sometime back. They fit much better on this one so this one won out :)

Tonight I dry fit the splashwell to see what and where to sand and fill and fiberglass back on:

That's it for now.

Hi! Hope the boat is coming along well! I am at that point with my 1988 Glassmaster where I have removed the stringers and am grinding in prep of reinstalling. They did dump a ton of resin next to these stringers. How did it come out for you? I'm driving myself nuts! I just want to grind it all out, but that will take forever!! Any help would be great! I have used your thread in going through my own project! Thank you!

Lil Miss Moo, we appreciate that you have been able to use this thread as a help to your own project. However, this is the OP's thread so please don't hijack it with questions about your own boat. We do encourage you to start your own thread so we can all help you and watch your project. Your questions on your thread and your successes will be a big help to others.

Thanks for following LMM! Glad my thread has helped you out so far. :)

As aspeck pointed out, if you have not started a thread, please do so we all can follow along and assist if it is needed.

The answer your question, if I had to do it again, I would not worry about. Just grind it down a bit to even out any of the hills and valleys.

I had the bright idea of setting the circular saw to about 1/8 inch to cut some out. Bad idea. I ended up running through the hull in an area so I had about a 5 inch cut I had to patch up. :faint2:

Lesson learned ;)

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well with you?

I have been trying to get my head wrapped around the wiring for the boat. Hopefully someone with some experience can chime in and point out if anything looks off. I have not started yet, just at the diagramming stage:

Thanks in advance everyone :)

Here's what I used. Looks pretty much like what you have.

Got the entire inside painted. The bilge will be painted offwhite:
