HA! Not bloody likely. I think I've done as much as I'm going to do to this Jupiter. I'll employ all my new knowledge on my eventual SS.

im with you there. there are a few things i didnt exactly do right on mine. but im not going to rip it apart... im storing the knowledge for a future 19' SS.

Re: Starcraft club can I join ?

If this one is still there when I get back from vacation my wife and I may be having a little discussion http://southjersey.craigslist.org/boa/1283529137.html

That's basically the same exact build as my 91 Legend. The transom is a little different but the splash well and the bow are nearly identical. If I wasn't on the West Coast and it wasn't a pick-up only I'd be seriously thinking about it. I think you should be buying it right now and telling your wife you lost your wallet with 1200.00 in it. Wait a day and tell her a guy found it but was forced to spend the money because he and his family were starving because they all lost their jobs. But.... he has this boat. Yeah, that might just work... LOL..

Ha! Yeah that might work. Nah, she's a sharp one my wife. Anyway, this boat is nice and a fair price but it's far from ideal. I'd like one with a nicer trailer, and preferably a 100-115 on it or at least a 1978 or newer motor. I really don't need another early 70's OMC 85 V4. I got that covered already :)

my wife totally wouldnt buy a story like that either. i think anyone who is into boats would have a hard time cinvincing their wife that really happened that way!

got any extras?? lol. i was searching western mass craigslist yesterday because i am at my dads right now and i thought maybe i could find a deal close by... came across a 69 johnson 85 hp with a "bad lower unit" and was listed for $100. when i called to inquire, the guy informed me that the piston for the ELECTRIC SHIFT is all messed up.

yeah. not touching that with a 100 foot pole.

Andy, '72 and earlier are electric shift. RUN AWAY!! If you can find a '78 or newer that would really be ideal because they use the more modern T&T set ups that you can find for around $200. If you get a pre-'78 one and want to add T&T you can pretty much forget it. $$

I don't know guys.. I'm all confused... Even if I buy the boat and give it to one of you it sounds to me like none of your wives would believe that either. Too bad, I was actually thinking about it.:D

Hey Rick are you going to run that 80hp Merc on the coca-cola classic tin can? I was reviewing your pics from when you first got the old girl and man does that old Merc tower of power look bad:cool:

I desperately want to get the same vintage 7.5 Merc for my ultra-lite tinny:D

Has she been run in a bucket yet?

Wow Rick you've got a nice collection of 60s-70s Mercs going there:D That chrome/white cowling is a real piece of eye candy. I'm going to be spending more time on craigs looking for my Merc now thanks for the motivation;)

Hey is that 45hp a short shaft...looks like it to me, does she like to run WOT?
