Vegas you have a good point I should be doing something out here in the garage . I did redo the bathroom in the house and actually just last night tied the tub into the new Sewer lines . I have been doing stuff but mostly Honeydooooooooo's LOL. I still need to put the 2 tons of flat rocks we had delivered out around the edges of the pond before the really cold weather sets in .

hey rick,
any idea where i can get 4 empty steel drums at around here?
i want to lay them on their sides so i can put the hull of my deck boat on them. Get it up off of the ground for winter. gonna turn it into a basic fishing boat (kinda like a john boat on steroids)

LOL Nope Andy just send me some of that cold air from up there so my phone will ring again . have to pay the bills first then if theres leftovers you get to play with the toys .



DJ only prob I have with that 71 cutter is they were only made from 1955-1962 Cutter boats was sold to Brunswick in 1960 ( Brunswick also owned Larson at the time ) by 1962 Brunswick stopped production of Cutter and stuck with Larson.

that 14 1971 boat looks cool, could be a pretty fast resto....40hp eng that runs.....good deal!

Rick glad your able to get some of that work done on the honey do....
is some of that work for sewers for the addition you have planned?

Vegas that 14'er isnt a 71 I have researched my Cutter pretty well and there were no Cutters in 71 . I do agree it is a Cutter but more likely a 61 than anything else and I already have a Cutter to do . The HVAC buis is really sucky right now so no extra cabbage for more toys anyways its friken 70* right now .

Dj and Vegas not much going on with mine at the moment danged weather isnt working with me was a cool summer and now its pushing 70* in the middle of November WTH . I need some bitter cold to get people to buy new furnaces or at least break their old ones so I can fix them .

Not enough time to read ALL the postings, so I skipped here to the end.

I scored BIG, I think, a '62 Starcraft with a '62 Johnson 85

Boat floor needs redone, steering cable, restore seats, dash. Hull is in great shape, powder blue inside and out. Brightwork in great shape.

Engine has an electric start, tooth belt driven mag, and another tooth belt driven generator. Sadly, compression is only 50 on each of the 4. Cleaned and gapped points, mag will bite when spun by hand.

Plan on restoring, just don't know when I can afford it.

The really great part about the score, the elderly couple hadn't used in for quite a while, just wanted it gone, signed the titles and GAVE IT TO ME!!!!!!

Am I tickled PINK???????

Charlie congratulations on the new to you Starcraft . Be sure to start a resto thread on it and let us see some pictures . Theres a pile of us here like myself restoring these fine old Tincans you are in good company.
