AMD said:There is a topic in the FAQ which describes some of the items that should be looked at to revive a motor that has sat for a long while. The fuel system, including the supply lines and bleeder lines should be inspected and replaced. Carbs should be cleaned with new gaskets, needles, seats. Inspect the plugs/wires. Clean out the distributer cap and inspect for cracks. Follow the timing recommendations also listed in the FAQ, aiming for 21° max. Don't overlook the requirement to replace the water pump impeller, and change the gear oil.
I too have a '72 Glastron with a '72 1150. I would be very interested to know what model Glastron you have. Any pics?
