You might check and see if you spun a prop hub.

The hub bushing is a rubber bushing that is pressed inside your prop between
The prop and the splined hub that fits the shaft of the lower outdrive.
It's purpose is to releive some of the stress of vibrations from the prop from
Being transferred to your outdrive shaft.
When they age they get brittle and it allows the prop hub to spin and slip between it and the prop. It usually shows up at high speeds first and will progressively get worse.
You can have a new bushing pressed in , but it will have to be done by a prop shop.
Most boat repair shops just ship them off to have a prop shop do them.
Maybe cost $100 give or take

Have you checked the fluid in the lower unit. It requires OMC type C fluid. If you use anything else it will slip.

Take a paint marker or silver Sharpie or something & make a mark across the prop shaft end & the body of the prop itself (outside the hub) so they line up. Go take the boat out on the water & drive it so you feel the slipping you described. Pull the boat out & see if the marks still line up or if they shifted positions relative to each other. If they moved, the prop hub has slipped & will need to be repaired or the prop replaced. If they still line up, the problem is somewhere else.

get a spare prop and put it on.
I can't believe the number of people who boat without a spare prop. It's like having a spare tire for your car.
