Ok i got some work done (grinding). i need some help my fuel tank plastic and is 19 inches wide, what is a good material to put between the stringers an tank? i need to figure out my stringer width for when i install them. i will be using straps to hold my tank down. Do i even use anything or will the straps be enough?

I've seen others shim the tank with the pink or blue sheet construction foam. I think your straps will be adequate.

any tips on building a form for the hull to sit on? I was gonn flip the hull on a flat surface and build it to the shap of the hull using 2x4s that way its not hooked when i put it back together.

i started to build a cradle, but do not have a pic of yet, i did how ever investigate the "repair area"on the strake... it looks like it was ran aground or a rock was hit.. i grounded a crap ton of filler off...they filled the whole chine area.. im just a lil worried/anal about getting this hull straight.. not even sure it was straight to begin with...anyone that has advice throw it out there its appreciated.. i will be more specific with why i think the hull is not striaght, i can run a level back by the transom and be level, ( set a 2x4 across the open hull and set the level on top), then do the same towards the bow and its not level. am i right in my thinking the the bow is then sitting crooked? so in my mind my goal is to make the bow level with the stern, then i should be good to go?
here is the repair area i will be dealing with, i did more grinding since this pic i will take another and shoot one of the cradle i built so far and post them tommorrow

ok well i went on the thinking that the bow should be level with the stern. So i built this cradle, and supported the hull good. I can stand in it and it moves less then when it was on the trailer with stringers in it...so i have the bow level and the stern level sitting on a level floor. Does this thinking should right? the hull should not be hooked with this thinking...

thanks ezmobee...took about 8 hrs to make sure it was level and decide how to do the front part...the hull sits snugly in it and has no movement... now to get it outside for when i grind...doh:facepalm:

ok i am trying to figure out how much 1708 ill need... I need a question answered... when people say you need a 6 inch tab, say on your transom, does that mean you need 6 on the hull and 6 on the transom wood? Just want to clear that up.... what is a good size tabe for deck stingers and transom tabbing width wise? Im thinking this for all : 3inch (so 6 total) with csm hull to wood structure, then 5 (10 total) 1708 then 7 (14 total) with 1708.. Then on the stringers just gotta add a 2 layer cap stringers are 8.5 or so inches high... so first cap would be 15 so about 7 on each side.. then the second layer down to the hull... let me know if my thinking is gonna be good.. Thanks

ok got some grinding done.. actually got 80% of it done the other 20% is ruffing up the tabb on the transom so i can finish it up, and the other is the side panel supports the trim base boards and a little in the bow area.. so its almost time to put wood in it...
OK here are some pics., I still need some info on tabbing, the question is posted above.. thanks

here are a few more pics... i guess cutting the splash well was not a great idea but made it easier trying to place the fuel tank, as i did not have to install the whole cap..
