Thank you, my friends, for your understanding. I really believe the reason for my heartfelt posts concerning Joyce is that I am scared of what she is facing in the future, having witnessed her Mother, beloved Aunt and Uncle, and others going through the ravages of Alzheimer’s at the end of life. The last time we visited Joyce’s Mother (before Rosa passed away), while she was in the nursing home, she was in a tight fetal position on her bed and looked so frail. This visitation has never left my thoughts while caring for my wife. If you have experienced this situation you know what I’m saying is true; if you haven’t experienced this terrible scenario then my prayer will be that you never have to go through the pain of witnessing the sadness before your eyes as you watch a loved one fade away and knowing there is nothing you can do to prevent the final result. Thank goodness we have some good days together.
Safe boating,
Joe
