I've got the same exact boat, down to the original paint (I actually did a double take at the first pics).
My grandfather bought it new in '73, and i purchased it from him when i turned 18. I grew up in that boat, and so will my kids. IMHO, there's nothing better than an 18' SS.

Yeah man.. those before and after pics are just ridiculous. You made that old boat look friggin brand spankin new.

Guess the little walking pads got removed? Prolly makes it look nicer I guess.. Have you missed having them yet?

So another question for the Mob...a friend of mine gave me some Brazilian redwood a while back that I used to reinforce the ski pylon and dress up my splashwell. Well he took a new job in Phoenix and doesn't want to move the two dozen 8' planks that he has and told me to come load them up. Do you think I could do my floor with it? I am thinking that I will redeck under the splashwell and the bow area with regular wood and do from the consoles back to the doors with the redwood. My first concern is the weight but it sure would look good. What do you all think?

Bunker - it sure would look fantastic!!! The weight would be down low...as for sure as you said it will add some weight. What are you installing it over? Can't recall off the top of my head what you did with the floor... sealing it and the floor could be a challenge.

Would look great though!
