Thanks for the response. That is exactly the info I was looking for. I am relieved to hear I only have to poke two new holes through the transom.

Re: 1973 Super Sport...I bought it!

I got a few more things done on the boat today since the weather was decent. I got the power T&T cylinders all mounted up, drilled a hole through the splashwell, and got the switch mounted to the dash. I utilized the hole in the dash from where the pitot speedo used to live. Who needs a pitot with gps right? So now I just need to run power and mount the hydraulic pump. I also put my new trailerable boat cover on.

Looks like she's ready for a long winters nap, Bunker.

A quick Q - Where did you find a Merc TnT for $150? About the best price I see is $300 and up. Less $ and the pump is shot or missing, etc. New is outrageous. Thanks.

Hi Bunker; See you are moving right along with your power t.&t. install. Looks great. Like your new boat cover too. When I put mine on for winter, had saved the pad that came with sons new couch & folded it put on top of windshield to take some of the stress off. You are going to love the t.&t. Also noticed the prop you have been talking about. It is defanately underpitched. I have a 13 1/4x19 pitch would give to you if could fig. how to get to you.:)

GA...I got it at a local boat boneyard. I think he has a few more...I will check and get you his number if he does. He might be laughing all the way to the bank once I hook power to this thing. Wish me luck.

Thanks cat...I need to do something about the winshield and the cover too. I am gonna head over to the Home Depot to see what I can come up with to keep thw winshield from poking through the cover. I was planning on purchasing a 19 pitch prop before next season. I will send you a PM and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks, Bunker. Tell ya what, let me know if it works and then PM me. LOL. And well DUH, I've been looking on CL and fleaBat and puking over the prices and I have a big boat junk yard just a few miles away that I've used. Sometimes the brain just don't work. Thanks, buddy.

Re: 1973 Super Sport...I bought it!

I finished installing the tilt and trim system today. I am pretty excited about it. Since the pump didn't come with a floor mount I discovered that an extra bunk mount I had on hand fit the bill perfectly. I am not super excited about the fit of the Mercury switch on the dash but it will have to do until I make new panels. That switch is big and space is at a premium on the dash so I can live with it for now. Everything works and I will never have to deal with the home-brewed manual/automatic power manual tilt contraption that was on there before.

And the $64 question. Working OK? And I might have found TnT for for $200 - With a whole motor attached. LOL

Yes it works great. All the way up and all the way down! I need to adjust the trim out about 1/2 in but other that that it's all systems go.

No room in the stern for my twin 6 gallon portable fuel tanks so I am installing the 18 gallon fixed tank that came with the boat. It was a tight fit but I got her in there. Where should I install an inline fuel filter? Before the bulb or after?

:)My inline filter was before the bulb when I purchased from my buddy. So I am going to install new one there also. I looked at one on ebay that had primer incorporated into it, too pricey for me. Hope this helps bunker.

Re: 1973 Super Sport...I bought it!

So I have been studying for a promotional exam for the last three months. The test was this morning and I walked out feeling, not so confindent about my performance. So I grabbed some lunch, came straight home and removed most of the interior from a perfectly good boat.

I am going to recover the side panels with new pleated vinyl and the rear doors with textured vinyl. I am not sure what to cover the side storage areas with yet. I might just spray them with bedliner paint. You can also see the new fuel tank resting in its new home. I need to secure it and run a new fill and vent hose to it. I already ran wires for the fuel sender gauge.

I also sent the Mercontrol remote off the be rewired.
