This is my first boat. I got it from a lady at work for $200 dollars. I believe I got a steal..:) It has a 1975 Mercury 85hp engine that runs great. I am very excited to use it this year. I am going to set it up for fishing. I have two little boys that are just as anxious as I am to get it going. I just finished getting the title and licensing all squared away. This year I am just going to use it and this next winter I will dis-ensemble and restore it. I think for this year, I am just going to sand down the trailer and paint it. I do have big plans! we will see how many become reality.

I have already had to replace the seats, they were shot. This is a picture of the day I picked it up. I will have to get some updated ones. Right now it is up at my dads house while we are setting it up for fishing. I look forward to getting insight/information from you all.

Down in Tacoma,..
I grew up in North Seattle fishing out of Seattle/Edmonds/Everett area. I get to learn the south sound now.
Do you do much fishing up in Mt Vernon?

Seems like you stole that boat! Great looking rig you have there. Good news about being able to use it for a season prior to restoring it, first would be you'll get a good idea of how you want to set it up, and second you can spend any time your not in your boat here on iboats looking at what the rest of us tin-heads have done.

Being Retired I do . Salt water and Skagit River and a few lakes in the area. We have a Summer home in North Idaho and fish Lake Pend O reille by Sandpoint Idaho. I have a Starcraft 22 ft Holiday. I just bought a 16 S/S in Oregon and will pick it up after the 19th of this month. Its in Lincoln City so see how lucky you are. I have a 400 mile drive each way,and the boat is not as clean as yours looks.

Thank you! That is what I am looking forward to figuring out how exactly I want to set it up and then plan it out. I am so happy to have found this site today. I have already gotten some great ideas. As I have looked at some of the restorations I am even looking forward to starting to rip into it next winter.

Very nice. Being only 30, I have a long time to dream about that. My dad and I also have a 21 foot Trophy hardtop that we use for when we fish out of Sekiu and Neah Bay. Have a fun trip down to Lincoln City, I love it down there. I got very lucky on this boat. It was a little bit of a pain as there was no title on the boat or trailer. It only took 4 months to get it all straight, but at least it is done now. I have really gotten into the Kokanee fishing and last year we set up a drift boat to do it in. We are looking forward to using this boat for this year.

On the motor splashwell the seam is split. What is the best way to repair this? How would I go about replacing it if I wanted to? Thanks again! When I get home, I will post a picture

I am sorry, but I am not sure what is meant by the "little old lady from Pasadena"

All I can say is this site is bad. From reading all of the other rebuilds of their boats, I am getting more excited to start tearing it apart. It is time to fish in it till this winter for me!

I am glad to be a part of the "club"

really I meant those once rare and true stories of like new classic cars that were "owned by a little ol lady from Pasadena"

it used to be a sales pitch that it was a great low mileage, well taken care of car.

Makes perfect sense! I am hoping that when the times comes to tear her a part, it will be good underneath as well :)
