Hello. I just got this 9.9 Evinrude motor given to me last weekend by a buddy as it wouldn't start. He claims bad fuel so I thought I would take a look. It has good spark so I figured I would remove the carb and clean it and then see if it runs. Problem is I can't seem to access the inner nut that attaches the carb to the motor. It is inaccessible. Is there a trick to getting this nut off?
Also I see there is an idle speed knob on the side (with slow and fast)....does this replace the high/low speed needles found on other motors?
Thanks for your help
