After some help from the forum I finally got my 115 going and running great. I should have listened to my own good sense as well as the advice contained here and rebuilt the waterpump.
It shut down on me hard and when I took the head covers off as part of the diagnosis, the rings in two of the cylinders had shattered. There is some scarring in the cylinders. It looks scary.
Is this worth rebuilding? It was strong when running good. Can the sleeves be replaced in the cylinders? What are the options and possible costs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And by the way, if there is any doubt whatsoever about the waterpump, REPLACE IT!
