Re: 1976 Starcraft 16' SS (Restoration)
Well I actually got a few thing done today. I didnt even realize it was 10:00 until I ran out of some washers and screws and had to call it a day. I got most of the interior pieces vinyled. Let me just say I would have rather gotten a root canal than do vinyl work again.
Its messy and every time you touch something .... the glue seems to get everywhere. I saved the cover off the console piece as a pattern which helped a lot Im sure.
Cut from pattern (If anyone is thinking of re-vinyl, I would save at least 1 piece):
Installed with finish washers (FYI, I wouldnt use the finish washers here, because.... when you tighten up the screws the washers cut into the nice new vinyl.... which stinks

since it took me a - FEW HOURS - to make them look decent): (I know...... my vinyl job has a few boogers)
Heres a pic of the rear slider, I decided against anything fancy here.... just like the original:
Last pic.... I decided to get creative. I didnt want to create my own panels above the seats (with luan, foam, vinyl....etc..etc...etc..etc) While walking through HD... I saw the garage door molding. .. and thought trimmed up... it might just work...(anything from having to vinyl anymore

):
It was cheap.. easy to install and looks decent.
Im getting there fellas... maybe a week at the most.
