On the hole in the stringer you could slice up a credit card (ant half way rigid plastic)' put a hole thru it with a string to pull it up then just a dab of PB to hold it in place before glassing over it or you could also use a little spray foam to fill the void. I don't think you need to cut the stringers before tabbing. Why were you thinking you need to?

I thought maybe I had to tabb the transom directly to the hull (bottom front) with 1708, therfore I would need some room by cutting the stringers back. Is this not the case should i just tab right to the stringers? Again these are hollow stringers that were formed with foam (I removed the wet foam).

Gotcha. Once the stringers were glassed in they essentially became part of the hull. No problem tabbing the transom to them.

Ok, great? Thank you. I will post back very soon and let you know how it went (pics). I will be glassing up the wood core of the transom today and PBing it in tomorrow depending how good it cures. I hope to have the transom completely done by Friday to start the deck on Saturday.
