Pulled the swim platform off Tuesday. I finished sanding it down today and still need to patch a small hole that has some wood rot starting.

Loren that swim platform has really come to life. Do you have to sand in between the open slots by hand, or is there a better method?

Thanks

Looking good! Which Epifanes did you go with? Did you thin your first coat or right out if the can?

Thanks! I used the same Hi-Gloss Epifanes you did. I just used it strait out of the can for the first coat. Plan on using thinner for the remaining coats.

That's going to be one clean engine room! Will be perfect for spotting any potential leaks, but may have you spending more time in there with a rag and polish!

Thanks! A clean engine room means you can spot a problem or leak immediately before it becomes a nightmare. I think we're both of the same mind. Not to mention, for some reason it makes you feel your engines are more "reliable"....knock on wood lol

Finished priming, painting, and clear coating the port engine bolt-on hardware (and the starboard valve covers and intake manifold).

Also started varnishing the flybridge steps. The steps were worn badly so the ridges on the steps were completely gone. I mighta cheated and used a black paint marker to make some lines

Looking great, also your trick with the black on the treads is a good idea. Will probably help to hide the stuff that builds up in there too.

Thought I might share the video of a Marine Power 6.2L LSA Supercharged engine project our company just completed for a customer. It has a Bravo III XR attached and a HP transom. This is what has been tying me up during the day for the past couple months:

Wow! I love that clean sound. What was the top end on that run? I saw vid this mornin on the worlds largest outboard 557 I believe basically a cadillac engine ontop of a lower end on steroids one of them pushed a 30 footer to 65 with no issues.
