That's right your model is like the SC Kingfisher so yeah no SW. Definitely a huge reason to have a bilge pump then as the transom is pretty much a straight 20" all the way across.

You could use a variety of prefabbed items with out breaking the budget;
Shower drain covers, round or rectangular, floor/wall return vents, outdoor rainwater drain cover.

by building center console the boat would ride better with your weight in center instead of to one side or other:)

I hear you Micky, just 2 obstacles. Beam of the boat and money - already going to be way over what I planned for.

$15 for the SS is tolerable

Didn't get a whole lot accomplished tonight. Cleaned up the pinion box for the steering and drilled a hole in a perfectly good hull (WHO DOES THAT!) for the bilge exit. I actually drilled it 1/16" too high for the hose to clear, so grabbed the die grinder and started grinding the underside of the inner gunwale. That's when the rains came. Thunderstorms follow by a monsoon for the 3rd time today. Darned weather folks had predicted no rain until 10PM

Spruced up the old faded steering wheel before I left work last night. Pulled chrome clips, cleaned it up, and sprayed with some Fusion Texture Shimmer I had lying around. Polished up the chrome strips and popped them back on today.

Baby steps, but have to keep moving.

Quit early tonight after making the transom and gunwales look like they have the pox. Marine Tex is easy to work with, just a PITA to measure out for mixing. Mixed up 6 teaspoons worth which ended up twice as much as I needed. Sure glad it comes off easily where you don't want it with a little Acetone - such as fingers. Spreader cleaned up well too.

Today was 90 and humid when I got home, but plugged ahead to get my list for the day completed (except for a 30 min break to hydrate). Sanded the Marine Tex and a light sanding of all the wood areas being painted. Sprayed then scrubbed all the areas to be painted with good old (original) TSP and A green Scotch Brite followed by a thorough rinse and final leak test.
YEAH NO MORE LITTLE DRIPS! :laugh:

Drained the boat and vacuumed any remaining water - then took my break.

Washed all the known paint areas with mineral spirits per Rustoleums instructions and proceeded to SE prime everything I know is getting painted. Couldn't find my 4th full can, but had just enough with a partial can I had left when I did my Appleby a few years ago. When I was putting everything away for the night that last bugger popped up out of hiding, so I have it for the helm later. Still debating painting vs covering the gunwale tops and bow plate, but leaning towards covering right now.

Tomorrow I plan to start building a cradle to set the boat on so I can do something with that disgusting trailer.

Last winter I picked up some appliance dollies on sale cheap for when I was ready to make a cradle. With 12 wheels to carry any weight it should move around easily. Spent the whole day working on building it. 3 dollies 7 2x4x8 and some left over 1-1/2" foam.

PS DO NOT TRY TO USE CONTACT CEMENT ON FOAM LOL IT MELTS IT.

Hopefully the PL300 dries by tomorrow night so I can try setting the boat on it.

Thanks guys. Just hope the rain doesn't start back up until late tonight. I want to do some moving things around and try using the gantry to lift it off the trailer.
