Im trying to remove the exhaust leg. I seem to be stuck. What is next after these 6 nuts?
My whole aim is to pull the shift rod out of this motor and as far as I can tell I will have to pull the power head to do that. I bent the rod and wrecked the female spline in the motor on my boat. This is a parts motor...

So, I found out you can remove the shift rod by removing the scroll pin from the top of the shaft. But not before finding out there is 8 bolts not 6 that hold the power head in place.

Yes, you found the two bolts in the front underside of the motor, right? Your lower rubber mounts look loose. Are they?

Donor motor/boat so I just took everything apart hoping to learn something for the next repair.
