Hi all. I hope all is well with everyone. I decided I would take a umber of outboards and " hang" them in the garage. These are just a prototype. What do you all think ? Do. Need to make any changes? By the way, they are now tethered just in case.

Haha. It's all good. It will be gone in a couple days anyway. I was going to pull the old Gypsy out from her moth balls today. However my plans have changed. lol. I guess it will be a day of rest.

Need some advice how to get this long bolt of this power trim assembly. I've oiled for days and tried heat. Not big heat just those little propane torches. Maybe I'm being to gentle. I'm scared to death that I'm going to break something.

TC, that is the older style dual cylinder right? I know zero about them.....so I am lots of help lo! I'm kind of wondering if it is a rod with a pin of some sort? Maybe a bolt but it seems awfully long and skinny for that.

Well after hours of hammering, beating, grinding, I finally removed the shocks. What a beast. A long 5/16 alloy rod was seized so bad, I had to drill it out after I cut the shocks off. 😠 I removed the tilt assist shocks and its long alloy rod off my 650 in about 15 minutes. What a difference in the two motors. Anyway I now have power from on my 650. Good deal.

I'm really hoping for this weekend. But looking at the forecast, plans may change. This has been a very odd year, weather wise. It's been colder than usual and windy. As much as I love boating I won't go out in the rain or wind. It's an age thing I guess lol. I would have thought you would have been out already.
