So here's the track installed...

(I used robber grommets between the track and gunwale to give a little space to wash out the trash if need be)

So the fish box is full (or the kiddos are sick of fishin) and it's time for some tubing fun. Just pop off the end cap, remove the fishing gear...

Slide in the step pad, stick the end cap back on...

How many rod holders do you have for each side? I can't remember if you have already addressed it but you could install the tracks on the islander and just use the same holders.

Rod holder's at the moment? None.:redface: Those will be bought over time since they are so expensive. I figure each time I head out for a trip, grab one. That way it's not so painful buying em all at once.

Yah, I already have the tracks for the Islander. Shareing the rod holders n such between the two boats is a huge bonus! More bang for the buck!

just got caught up on your progress and that is some very nice work on your consoles. If i had the amount of aluminum needed, i would use it instead of wood for my console as well. excellent work there my friend, excellent work

So, not a lot to report at the moment anyway. I've been doing some prep work to install the Xtreme bungee jumping steering system and Evinrude.

I got the console dashes, transom plate and transom cap coated in SharkHide this a.m.

Jason, I guess your question is "will it work"? Silvertip got you covered on that. Have you found a temp gauge sender and where it goes on the motor? A Merc guy here, so not really any help for ya.
