It's Saturday, almost lunchtime here and still no sticker... :(

I think I may have figured it out...you see its Spring/Summer over your way...its kind of Fall/Winter on this side...so I figure by the time your Fall/Winter starts, it should be getting there, unless of course it gets lost in the change of seasons......I think it has something to do with the way the water swirls as it drains in the different hemispheres...:DLOL

Have a good one!

I think Coriolis may have got it... either that or the Doldrums! :)

Anyway, back to the thread, how's the weekend progress Jas? :p

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

Been way busy lately, house projects, coaching, and prepping for winter so this SN hasn't seen a whole lot of action sadly.

Well that, and I have run into a bit of a challenge. I knew this whole stern deck/bench section of the boat would be the crux of the project and it has proven to be so.

Here's the gist:

The seat pad lined up correctly with the back pad folded down is all good but in sit and chill mode the seat part is just too far back to be comfortable. My riders would basically have to sit straight up, definitely not cruise worthy conditions.

So basically, I have to build it in such a way that when it's in deck mode the seat pad must be lined up with the back pad folded down. Then in cruise mode the seat needs to bump/slide out for more of a lean back and enjoy the day sort of comfort.

To add to the challenge I still need to have the seat hinge up in order to access the storage below.

I think I have it juuuuuuuust about figured what I'm going to do to make it all come together - hang tight.....

I am sure you will figure it out; These little challenges are the fun part :) And if you don't... that's what they make water proof bean bags for...

Look forward to seeing the solution come together as always..

Looking forward to it, I think I want to put a bench seat in the back of the starcraft as well

Jas, I had that problem with the rear bench in my cuddy tinnie. I thought I'd put on a couple of sliders so I could slide the seat part forward when its being sat on, and slide it back (about 4 inches) so I could still fold it down. In the end I just bolted it in the forward position and put up with the fact it doesn't fold completely when stowed.

My piece of glasser to be recycled showed up. :)

Thanks for the Powered by decal Jas, now I just need have something done enough to put it on so it won't get wasted in a redo of something.

Hey doods, thanks for keeping tabs on me - been really busy! Just got back from our youth retreat, did you know that teens want to stay up really late and then sleep in? Yah, my system is all messed up right now:rolleyes:

I've really only been able to cut out and seal up the backer ply for the seat part. Not really photo worthy - hang with me, I hope to have some forward motion this week;)

Have a great Sunday guys!:D

So yah, I actually wore shorts to Thanksgiving Dinner, it was the way nice:D

Then this morning, our fist legit snowfall for my neck of the wood...

So yup, winter is here. It's all good, I love the cold weather though I am sad to see fall go.

The Sea Nymph has been on the back burner for a while but she needs that stern bench settled pretty quick here.

Anyhow, God Bless and Rock On fellas, cheers:)
