Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild
What a great, much needed week!
The fishing was stinky. Not a walleye/pike/bass to be seen, anywhere. I tried everything I knew to do but no go. I talked to some of the old retired locals and they have been pulling their boats out to fish other lakes, nothing happening on this one. So, I didn't feel so bad.
But, we could catch 5" perch all day long so the kids loved it!
Tubing was a huge hit, the kiddos were begging to go tubing as much as they were begging for ice cream! I was happy to oblige (on both)!
This Sea Nymph was perfect, fished great, cruised great, tubed great, sweet all around solid boat, very happy with how this rig turned out.
I miss being up there already. Sadly summer has come to an end. I actually saw a few trees with the leaves turning when we were up at the lake and I head back to school starting tomorrow. Man the summer flew by.
I think I'll clean up this Sea Nymph, wrap her up and push her back. She may get out a time or two yet this year but I'd like to focus on the Islander project as best I can.
Anyhow, have a great Sunday guys!
