I am trying to remove the top pin from the tilt piston in order to access the screws holding the motor for the power trim. The casing on the motor has corroded and the motor has to be replaced. I removed the wire clips on each end of the top pin on the tilt piston, tried driving the pin out, but it seems to be frozen. Worked on it for about two hours and it will not move. It is soaking with liquid wrench at present. I guess my question this: Is there anything else holding the pin? Any advice on what I can do to remove the pin. Any better way to access the motor? My gut feeling is that the pin is being held by corrosion.
Any help will be appreciated.
