Bought this 1984 16ft Lund Mr. Pike, with 1984 Evinrude 50hp outboard, and trailer for $750 on craigslist last week. Took three 10 hr days to bring it back to life, in my eyes it was well worth it. The engine needed carb work, new coil, starter selonoid, and TLC.... The boat was completly gutted... Put in new bildge, live well pump, wood, carpet, toggle switches, new paint on the inside, and was completely re wired...

Just thought I would share some pictures with everyone, I am a newbie to the forum and have learned alot from everyone on here!!!!!!!!!

Let me know what you think??

Boat looks good!

What did your below deck foam and transom wood look like? Those 2 things are usually pretty nasty on a boat that age.

Thanks!! The foam looked good, the boat sat in storage for some time, thankfully the mice didn't get in there!! Transom looks good, but I will probably replace it over the winter so I know where I am at with it..

Great work and welcome aboard.

In Minn. only paying $750.00 for that rig was an outright steal! Even a better deal than I got on my 14' S-DLX which only cost me $400.00 less engine.

In Minn. you stole that boat. Lund is the holy grail of fishing boats up there. You must have a nose like a bloodhound to get those deals.

64's right, go fishing. Still got plenty of time till hard water. Like about 2 weeks. lol

Love my Lund, gonna be hard to part with but I would really like a 16' Pro Pike or Rebel.

thiker15, did you paint that Lund? If so which paint did you use and which color?

Atomics did a fantastic job, old lunds were not ment to be destroyed but to be reborn. And yes I did it myself

Atomic, how did you deal with the rivets midway up the gunwales (just below the storage compartments), and what did you replace them with? I just bought a 1983 Lund Mr. Pike 16 and need to replace the floor/carpet and am trying to decide what to do.

Thanks,
Hans
