Re: 1984 Silverton 34C Remodel/Update/Upgrade PIC HEAVY
Thanks, I wanted simple and these are about as simple as they come!
One other project with no photos, on the gunwale there was an original railing. It was removed but the old mounting locations remained. Instead of patching the non skid, we purchased gunwale flush rod holders. My father drilled and installed them. They are most likely temporary as there is a plan to redo the coring around the stern, and a new finish will be done. Not to mention a transom door at some future time.
I got the dinette base sanded and one coat of poly. No photos, but a few more coats and then varnish and it should look good.
I also purchased and cut some carpet for the lower cabin. It needs to be trimmed and finally installed, but there are still projects to be done before I'm comfortable doing that (varnish, wallpaper etc). Fear not, they teal carpet will be removed and the tab will replace it throughout.
Also found out that the port vibration was a cutlass bearing. We sadly dropped the boat a marina and had them pull it, check the prop, shaft and do a new cutlass. The boat has no more vibration and we can finally run her how it should be run!!
