I have a 1985 evinrude 9.9 that has 118 psi for both pistons an she is hard to start an when it does start an you run it wot the carb get's cold an starts driping water then stalls any help please
I had that sort of thing happen to my car once. I was running really sluggish like the fuel pump was failing. Then I lifted the hood the carb. was ice cold, even had frost forming on it. My solution was to shut the car off and give it ten minutes and the carb. warmed up and it never happened again. I was telling a buddy about it and he was familiar with the condition and said airplane carbs. can do the same thing and they have a heater in them to prevent it. I wish I could remember what he said but I can't. I would make certain your slow speed needle is set correctly but first I would service the carb. I do believe what your saying though! Best of luck. Rick.
