Mine is an 84. So the 85 brochure should be pretty close. From the pictures I have seen of an 85 they look the same. I will PM you my email address.

Maybe you can find a way for me to get one for my 87 Tara as the only one I could get was in FRENCH" :facepalm: I do want know some of the specs for my boat but I don't read or speak french the only thing I got out of mine was that it has a 61 imp gal tank and that meens I need to put a whole H#%% of a lot fuel in it

It raises a question. The brochure says maximum horsepower of 140. But the plate on my boat says 67 KW which I translate to 90 horsepower.

It seems like everyone I have seen has a 140 on it. Mine has a 115. Can anyone help?

hey kenmyfam you ever down the river or out lasalle way or to crystal bay. any good spot for over nighters out in stclair. was thinking of exploring that way this year. mabe checking out about the gold cup races. do they still have them out there.

Thanks JBF 1962! Went and looked at the boat today and it's in pretty good shape for it's age. $2000 with fish finder, ski tripod, anchor, ski's, vests, ski ropes and all kinds of boating stuff. He says it doesn't charge and speedo acts up or doesn't work. Stopped by a boat mechanic buddy and will get her running with new plugs, water pump, voltage regulator, oil injection delete and a bunch of other stuff for about $5-600. I am going to start a new thread on these things and see if I can do these things myself.

I also have a problem with the speedometer line to the sensor on the outer stern. ...the hose disconnected and I cannot get a speed reading . Can anyone help yhis novice boater?

Hey i am also new here and have recently purchased a 1985 Doral 164 with no badges. We are looking for the brochure
also. As we would like to upgrade the motor size and we have no idea as to what size we can go. We currently run a 60 hp Johnson it works well but slow on the starts and slow to plane out. Any help would be great.
