Hey i am also new here and have recently purchased a 1985 Doral 164 with no badges. We are looking for the brochure
also. As we would like to upgrade the motor size and we have no idea as to what size we can go. We currently run a 60 hp Johnson it works well but slow on the starts and slow to plane out. Any help would be great.

Welcome aboard. I will se what I can do to get you the brochure, however the one I have in my archives at home is in French. 60hp is a little shy for this boat in my opinion but set up is huge with these things. Load, prop, trim, weight distribution, and the list goes on. I suggest you start a new thread regarding your boat and issues. You should get more response that way. max HP for these boats is 140HP. That is what I had on mine.

I have a Doral Cavalier 1985. Does anyone still have the sales brochures? Or anything from that year would be appreciated.
French is not a problem for me.
