Put some no skid strips on those fender tops. Galvanized can be like ice when wet.

thanks DJ

their alum. fenders, but i agree i saw some peices that look like black sand paper with peel and stick bottoms

well the paint didn't come out as good as i wanted, but not as bad as i expected. i think the temp down here might have something to do with it( oh and also i can't paint) when i primed i rolled with a foam brush, then tried to tip but the paint was drying too fast(in the 90's) so i tried to spray(did i say i don't know what i'm doing) don't laugh.

I really like the color! Unless you paint everyday, its hard to get it "right", but it sure looks good to me!

I use spray on Eucalyptus oil then mop up with paper towels. Dissolves the glue and smells great! :D

Have you tried Goo Gone? Something with citrus, or maybe it will take stripper?

That's all I've got...2 cents worth...

This is gonna sound weird, but I like to use a chunk of rubber to remove extra adhesive. You can use a white eraser, but they are usually a little soft. I use a 50 durometer white mold making rubber. You just rub it on the adhesive until it balls up falls off.

I'm trying to find some of that rub rail as well I havent found anything close to what I have. I need 1 whole side. If all you are needing is a foot I have maybe 5 ft or so that was salvageable from my boat. I just want it to be 1 piece and since I am going to have to buy over 20 ft anyway I may as well not splice it. Just send me an address and I'll send you what I have if its the same.
