Re: 1986 Bayliner Capri rebuild

Well got to work on the boat again this weekend. The splashwell is pretty much ready for repainting so that is almost done. I have been working on a new seat for the driver. I didn't like the idea of foam in the seats as it gets wet and weighs a ton so I decided to design around it. As you can see from the picture I am making a sling type seat instead. Obviously we still have to sew the back peice and we are going to put a second layer on with some padding in it so it will have a bit more "give". We'll see how it goes out but I think it may just work.

Here it is with the seat bottom installed. We are using sunbrella fabric. I took the "K" brace off the back until we get all the fabric on it.

And the living room test fit lol. No making fun of my comfy clothes!

We should have the seat all finished up this week some time so I will post more pics then.

Well got the windscreens pretty much finished. I still need to make the trim peices along the front bottom edge but it looks a bit more like a boat now.

Hi Max. Your boat resto looks great. We're at a similar stage on a similar boat. I have been putting my windscreen back together today!

Looks awesome! What a way to breathe new life into a boat. Anxious to see more!
