Great looking, congrats, you'll definitely be ready when the ice clears...

Good luck on alignment & outdrive, I'm sure it'll go good & quick...

Thanks JB

Looks just fantastic, even better in the sunlight, hope you're sending some of that a little further east like about 600 miles further.

Thanks John, warm should be coming your way soon. Sounds like you guys in for some bad flooding this year.

What a beautiful boat! There is a TON of room in that interior. I'm assuming you left it so open for fishing room as opposed to more seating...

Thanks EZ, I will be putting two more pedestal bases in behind the front seats. I will then be able to bring the seat from the bow deck back when we are under way.

Looks great!!! Really shines in the sun. Congrats and great job.

Thanks Nature.

Thanks Jason, Spring has to be here soon, you would think. Bellows, alignment, a little wiring and some cosmetics and I should be able to call this girl done.

Ya I'm thinking something has to bite here. I have run into a big snag on the trailer. The nice aluminum wheels are not going to work, some how I screwed up on the measurement and the tires touch the fenders when the axles rock.:frusty:

If your not towing it far, can you put a 3/4" perch on each axle under the leaf spring? Lowering the centerline of the tire 3/4", right?

Or swap 235/70R16 for 225/70R16 or whatever tire calculated reduction you need for whatever tires you've got on there now....

That ^^^ example only gives you a @1/4" reduction in height from axle hub to outside of tire......

Either doesn't involve taking the boat off the trailer, cutting the fenders & step pads off, and re-fabbing & welding them back on & re-shooting the paint........

All in, not a huge problem to have compared to pulling up some portion of the deck :dispirited:

But a bummer for sure..........

Hi Glen, is it possible to extend the spring hangers raising the frame possibly a couple of inches, just a thought I know you'll figure a way of keeping those nice wheels

Bummer man... but there's got to be a way to keep those cool rims... just really make the whole package. As has been mentioned --- Fenders up or springs shimmed or something else!!! :)

Re: 1986 ss 201

Hey Guys, ya I want to keep those wheels real bad too. The tire size now is 205/75 R15, If I go to a 205/55 R15 I will loose about 3.5"in height and all should be great. I have a guy that has a guy for a break on the price. I looked at shimming the springs but they are below the axle so that won't work.

Re: 1986 ss 201

and why cant you raise the fenders?????????

you can always redrill the BRACKETS....

i just cut the fenders off my trailer as the tires i installed to get the boat home rubbed the whole 1/2 mile trip!!!...since I cut the fenders on route..to keep from ruining my brand new tires...I tossed those and will buy new anyway.

Don't really want to screw with the fender install as it was a bear to do the first time, plus I don't want to muck up the paint job.

Still easy, nice fix.

You bet 64

Low profile tires!! should look good

I agree John.

Bummer on the tires Glen! I'm sure whatever you decide to do, it will be top-notch!

Your boat is one of the sickest that I've ever seen! Can't wait until you splash it!

It's gonna be the "high performance" trailer... :D

Sounds like a winning idea man!

Since the axle is under slung, would flipping to over slung help? You would raise the trailer the height of the axle and basically free except for your time. If you have cambered axles, flipping is out.

Axle are cambered GA, otherwise a great idea.
