Splashed

All I can say is what an awesome boat, handles like a dream Mercruiser runs perfectly. I do think I have some tunning to due prop wise. I'm only pulling 4200 RPM WOT and speed is not what I would expect 38mph GPS and Pito. Trailer worked perfectly, loads real easy.

Getting ready

Great to hear that the shakedown went without a hitch Glen!!!

I can only imagine after months of waiting, punching that throttle for the first time must have felt pretty sweet!!!

Looking forward to the vid!!!

:whoo::rockon::thumb::cheer2:

I see Miss Mymoney was channeling the Naked Lady. Running around the lake without her bra. Tsk, tsk.

Good Splash and well done, Glen. Can't tell in the stills, but did the wind taper off?

Thanks everyone, she runs great jumps right up on plane, I might take her out tomorrow again with a lower pitch prop just to see what happens. I currently have a 21p on it and have a 19p off the 18 I can try.

Good going Glen, I guess you never really know if everything works till it's in the water.

And with a working tach, you can figure out the right prop. That was a simple, cheap fix.

Nice work DII. Looks great. now it just needs to WARM UP!!!! Enviro Can says the good weather is coming this week.

I'd expect a few more mph from that 4.3 as you suggested. Our 3.8L, 185hp in our SS201 will manage 38mph+ in flat water. I think you should get north of 40.

I'd make a comment about "must be a merc" but sounds like I'd get lynched on this forum!

Good luck with your prop trials. That will be fun.
