No icebergs GA, we hit 31c yesterday and today is 29c the wind is blowing 90k and hour and they say severe Thunderstorm are possible.
I am really looking forward to the summer and learning how to Captain a large boat.

GIBBLES - YOU OWE ME A KEYBOARD! You still owe me a keyboard - why the double?

we hit 31c yesterday and today is 29c

You're almost 20F, 10C higher than down here. But my water is a lot warmer.

yeah, but the really scary part was when the fog parted for a moment and he saw the name Titanic on the side of that big ship just as he was dodging that iceberg.

Canada is a beautiful place and i like all the people. but why'd they have to put it so dang far NORTH?

Nice vid man! Looks really smooth going through the chop.

What's the WOT rev's on the Merc? Usually, for more speed (unless you are not able to rev high enough to hit peak HP rpm) you would use a higher pitch --- so in your case you would got to a 23p. A lower p will of course raise the revs, as it is travelling less distance in the water per revolution. Our 70 came stock with a 17p --- boat topped out at 39mph. Put a 15p or what we call a power prop, it tops out at 34mph, but would pull me off the dock and keep me dry(ish). With the 17p, I sunk to my cheast!

Curious to see what the WOT rev's are supposed to be. I know my FIL has essentially the same motor in his boat, and he runs around 54 mph GPS --- just can't remember what the WOT rpm's were... I am thinking it was higher than 4200 though.

Looking sharp nonetheless!

Thanks Jim, 44 to 4800 is WOT so I'm a little low, I have a 19 p prop I'm going to try.

Man I'am so glad you got her splashed and it went well. Finding the right prop now is the fun stuff I think, I'am not there yet. So now ya know we want to see fish pics and bloody decks. Kind of demanding uh? Have fun.

As requested, AJ, decks are to much of a mess after the last two day, plus we forgot the camera yesterday. The Admiral and I went out yesterday till a big storm moved in, got off the water just in time, wind and 1.5"s of rain in an hour. Today a little windy but the Minnkota I pilot works awesome. This is what we brought home, and we threw more back. Nice cold water, great eating.

Tried changing to a smaller pitch prop but made it worse, went back to the 21, adjusted the timing and the carb and gained a little bit but it is running much better.
