so I knew I had a bad control ( for some reason) because when I was trying to sell my 40 HP it ran perfect, then a buyer came and I couldn't get spark... then I realized after he left that I had used 2 different controls!
Now to the 70 hp on my sons boat.... the control with the bad stop circuit has TNT buttons and the other one doesn't... funny thing is I had used the bad control to initially start the 70 today.... but I hadn't hooked the throttle cables up and when it started it started to rev high!! when I turned the key off...the motor kept running...so I ripped the spark plus wires off to kill the motor....and looking around I saw the black-yellow wire near the power pack was cut!...soo that's the reason it initially started!! and its why the motor wouldn't shut off with the key!...so I spliced the black yellow wire on the motor,,,,, but now my control wont start the motor!...if zi go hook up the non TNT control the motor starts fine........sooooo
I need to figure out whats wrong inside my tnt -control box.... I need that control because of the tnt buttons......where do I look and how do I test?...im assumijng somewhere the black -yellow wire is grounded in the box......is that correct?.....im also guess that the key lanyard emergency stop button and the key are two ways that normally close the stop circuit........any help as what the check inside this control first?
thanks
