Thanks!Could be a lot of things. The wires on mine got messed up not too far from the switch there (pinched or insulation chaffed or something; can't remember). So the damaged area was pretty easily accessible. Switch was still good.
Thanks!It's almost ALWAYS the switch in the throttle arm...they tend to come apart/fuse/burn wires after a certain age. As others have noted, testing reveals where the problem is. There are literally dozens of YouTube videos about how to test these issues. Just remember 'green for grass/ground, blue for sky' when you are manually testing your trim pump...e.g. green is for down, blue is for up. THIS is where I always start when helping people address "trim issues". Good luck!
Thanks!A test light is in most boaters tool boxes . Are you getting power to the switch ? Do you have power coming out of the switch or ower at the trim pump . Your switch may be fine , you could have a bad solenoid on the pump a bad connection , worn wire or bad switch . All traceable with a test light .
