1989 Evinrude 140hp rough idle

Its something to do with that carby as when i swapped it out with #1 the issue moved to #1. Will look into it tomorrow

Make sure you have correct side plate gasket installed

Ok so I think I have it sorted. I went through the whole carby again and nothing stood out. So I decided to pull the idle tube out and shove some single core wire through and give it a real good scrub. Low and behold a tiny piece of fluff came out. Put it back together and now she is running on all 4 again but is quite smokey which can be seen HERE. I guess now she is running on all four cyclinders again i will need to carry out another link and sync and should be happy days. Thanks all!

So I did a pressure check on the gear case and she failed and the oil was milkey so I resealed it. then took her down to the lake to run her in some water which can be seen here. It has improved considerably but still seems to have an issue as while she was cold it was lean sneezing especially at the advanced timing for the quick start. and once warm it idled but did not seem smooth. If any of the experts have a look at that video can i have your opinion.
