Yes, I plan to do the seats myself.
No, I threw away most of the originals.

I kept the drivers seat. The rear bench had already been removed and replaced with a "Fat Seat." The front, rear-facing bench seemed easy to rebuild and was so nasty that I didn't want anything to do with it.

Here is the video my friend texted me to indicate his success.

The goal was July 4th. Since that's tomorrow, I doubt seriously I'm going to make it.

I buffed, then waxed about half the boat today. It looks a lot better than it did.

I have been away for a while, but have read everything up to this point. What you have done is awesome, and you should be very proud! Keep up the good work.

Thanks Jay. I'm a pretty big "Frisco Boater Fan," so that means a lot. I think I've watched every video you've posted on this site. I definitely owe you a beer and a burger.

Last night I decided to work on the other side of the boat.

Here is what I started with:

The end result

I planned to wax it one more coat, but slipped off the step with my leg going between the tire and the step. I forgot that I pulled off the fender so that I could polish beneath it.

I washed away the majority of the blood from my leg, the concrete, and out of my sandal before calling my wife outside. Then I super glued the cut

and put a bag of frozen peas on the incredible "goose egg" I had halfway between my ankle and knee.

Not exactly the way I'd hoped to spend my evening, but I'm still motivated!

Today I plan to finish compounding the boat and wax those areas also, then a second coat of wax over the entire boat.

Looks like a leg restoration thread is "on deck."

Man, the boat looks great. Reminds me of Lake Austin. There's a couple of those Brendellas with identical paint schemes in adjacent slips that I always eyeball when riding by. Not sure if they're still there, but I always thought that they're great looking boats. I have a '79 MC S&S with the same powerplant. Awesome!

You've done a great job!

Thanks!

I think I may be part X-men. My leg seems fine today. I've been up walking around on it since about 6:20 this morning. I went outside around 8 and worked on the boat until 10ish. Then a friend of mine came over with a 6 pack and distracted me. After he left I got back on it for about an hour.

There are still paint drips from painting the floor on the top portion of the boat. They come off with acetone, but it requires a lot of scrubbing. I have to cut the center pieces of the floor shorter because they no longer fit with the installation of the engine and fuel cell. New trailer lights need to be installed and the boat number stickers need to be put on. The seats are the last main thing that has to be done.

This morning I put the boat ID number stickers on the boat and peeled off the horrible teeth from the front. It seemed better in my mind.

Now rewiring the trailer and putting the fenders back on it. I want to be legal in case I have to call to be towed in!

I keep finding little things that need to be done before it gets in the water. Frustrating. Maybe not today after all.

You have done a great job on the boat. Looks amazing for it age. I too own an older boat 1985 Sea Ray Seville with the 3.0L) Needs some TLC. I look forward to seeing some pics of yours on the water in the near future.

Same thing keeps happening to me. Its best to make a list so that nothing gets missed. Maybe a splash today? Good luck!

Hate to see injuries, but it looks like you did not let it get you down.

Splash!

Today I got the boat wet!

Last night I checked the air in the trailer tires, bolted in the driver's seat and the dog house cover, put the new battery in, drain plugs in, ice chest full of beer, water, gatorade.
