Here are some shots of the bilge/transom. It's dirty, but looks better than I thought it would.

And last but not least, the cabin with all cushions removed.

Found some more storage space, more PDFs and a screen for the access hatch!

NOPE Not even enough fuel. You must give up a kidney and a lung. Next tank an arm and a leg. good thing you got the screaming deal or it would be a shame sitting in the driveway making engine noise. I have found my old tubs run 15 mph faster that way. She sure looks good.

Yeah, I think I've found just about everything there is on her, now I just gotta get everything cleaned up and running properly.

Is it March yet?

Haven't done much to the Donzi as the weather has been crappy pretty much every saturday this winter, but it does seem like spring is right around the corner (57 and sunny tomorrow woohooo). Almost have the motor squared away, hope to have her running tomorrow (cross your fingers)!

I refinished most of the teak on the boat. I used Sikkens Cetol Marine Natural Teak because I read amazing reviews. A little bit of light sanding, three coats of Sikkens and done! I was worried about the color at first, but once everything was installed I was blown away! Looks great and was soooo easy!

There's a teak strip along the top of the electronics box that I'm afraid I can't remove without destroying, so I'll just clean it up while still attached.

Just came across your thread. Sweet boat! Probably the only fiberglass one I would get after learning  the hard way. Can't wait to see everything shined up, and running. The teak looks amazing.

Thanks man! You and me both!

Thank you! I'm just surprised how easy it was. I was planning on hours of sanding and prep work. To be honest it probably took about 30 minutes of sanding total, for everything :D. Good stuff!

It's cool how the redone teak makes her look mew again. It's quite the before and after pic :)

Re: 1990 Donzi F-23 Refresh - Tons of pictures

Update:
The motor is running...kind of... It's starving for fuel and smoking more than usual. I was talking to my mechanic and he's confident the VRO pump is the cause. Apparently when they go bad they tend to leak oil into the carbs. We're gonna drain the carbs, disconnect the oil pump and see what happens. I?ve been reading that most people seem to disconnect the oil pump to remove the risk of failure anyway. If all goes well, we'll be ready for the water by the end of Saturday. (yes there will be videos if she runs!)

Also, the trim assembly is bad so I picked this guy up on ebay for $149, free shipping and a 7 day money back guarantee. Apparently it's a great price, as long as it works!

You and me both ;)

I'm hoping (praying) to have her in her slip in a month. It all depends on the motor and my wallet. I still have to finish the repairs, top off the tank and rent a slip . I need a second job!!
