I recently replaced the water pump on my evinrude 60, and I do have water coming thru the tale tale, but it is poor, I do have alot of water coming from the two holes on the back of the exhaust tube, lots of water. The motor is not getting hot, and I do not have any leaks under the cowl. I guess my question is this normal. I am used to seeing a good steady stream, and I don't have that now, I'm sure its in right, what am I missing?

Check the nipple, tube and L coming from the head for a blockage.

You need a stat in it for many reasons. If you have access to a compressor try blowing compressed air into the fitting for the telltale on the powerhead.

Took the fitting off, visually inspected it, clean. Im not so much worried about the amount of water that i am not seeing, as to why I'm seeing it so much on the exhaust tube holes?

May have something to do with not having a stat in it, they regulate temperature and 2 strokes need to run at a certain temp to be most efficient, may even lead to engine damage if prolonged.

I have looked here on iboats, and it doesn't look like they carry the stat kit I need, anyone know of another place that will have the complete kit? I need the whole shooting match, it was removed when I bought the engine. My motor is a 1990 evinrude 60 VE60TLESM Thanks in advance.
