I want to install a tell-tale on my 1991 Force 35.

I good place seems to be by removing the top cylinder plug and install one there. Problem is, I can't seem to get that darn plug off. A 1/4" allen wrench is too small and the 5/16 is too big.

Question, is that a good place to install a tell-tale? And what size is that plug? Is it metric? The attach diagram shows the plug as #39.

Thank you for reading my OP.

For some reason, my attachment of the diagram is not showing its true size.

The top cylinder plug is where I put mine. I ended up grinding a slot on the plug so I could use a flat head screwdriver to remove it.

Couldn't find a 9/32 wrench in my tool box and I don't have a grinder. Guess I'm going to head to the nearest HF to pick up a new set of wrenches just for this.

You should be able to purchase just a 9/32nds.
