1992 Stratos 2250 here we go again

Well the 2 feet turned into 6 feet but I'll know its done. my guess is it was probably there from the 3 impact holes I repaired when I did the hull but it didn't come thur the hull and was covered by bottom paint.
My new plan is to use poly resin being its this big and hanging epoxy would stink.
So I am going to smooth it ourt a little with hairy pb then csm 10 oz csm 10 oz csm fair and paint

I'm sure it would of been fine but I figured once motor is on im not sure it will fit on my lift and if it did fail thats alot of extra work just because I got lazy. Plus I did miss grinding fiberglass LOL.
Well here is a hairypb with 1 layer csm and 1 layer 10 oz all done wet on wet. I hate going over pb after it hardens

Yeah I've looked around there is some cracks in the gel coat above the waterline. But I believe the superficial. I'll post some pics tomorrow for reassurance.

these are on the bow mostly on port side above waterline I'm assuming there superficial Chine up more at chine cracks are bottom rt

Minch, ondarvr has forgot more about Gelcoat than I'll ever know. I'll ask him to drop in and have a look.

I agree ... might want to get a pro to give it a look see ... May just be a drimmel and fill or you may need to do a bit more to keep it from returning ..

If its cosmetic I'm not worried about it. I went looking at old pictures and can't tell if they were there before rebuild.

They won't be easy to fix, and it looks like that hull had a rough life. There are so many cracks that grinding out each one individually would take a long time, plus because it looks like there is, or has been, a great deal of flex in the hull, they could come back soon. Sometimes you just need to sand down the worst areas, add some glass, then fair the surface again.

Thanks ondarvr, This was a police boat so I am sure it had a rough life. Cosmetically I couldn't care less about these. I am more concerned that they are structural which I do not remember any cracks on the inside of the hull when I redid it. I know this is a loaded question nad your many miles away but do they look structural or something I should fix opposed to being cosmetic? thanks

If you didn't see anything on the inside I wouldn't worry about them.

problem with that kc is they are above the water line I am not painting the exterior hull I was just concerned they were structural but my best guess is it seems like this boat was beached a lot and I'm thinking while being beached the front would flex while the rear was floating. May be far fetched but that's my story and I am sticking to it
Actually I can see into most of the areas where the cracks are and I think its only in the gel

Also does it take longer for fairing to set up poly? It seems like it does not want to set it eventually does but seems longer then regular layups
