1993 9.9 hp johnson throttle handle

how can the handle be adjusted so as to put a little more tension on it? the handle seems to be a little to free. i cannot set the speed for trolling as it keeps moving when i take my hand off of it.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

A hose clamp around the rear part of the twist handle may solve that problem. You may buy the original clamp, or just go 'cheap'.

Go back to the FAQ on this section. On the top of the 2nd page you will find a link to 9.9 / 15hp OMC motors. There is a link to the 93 plus motors there. In it I describe how to use a electrical split ground clamp on the throttle cable that works great.
