Posted a while back on some water intrusion, hydrolocked engine... Cleared all the water out and got the engine running, but... I noticed water coming in over the exhaust, dribbling down the transom plate... I just pulled the engine today and took off the transom plate and transom mount... The bottom of the transom is rotten on the right. I stuck a screwdriver in it and it went in pretty easy. It is a 1993 Chris Craft Concept 217 BR with a little over 250 hours. It runs great (or did...) I have worked on it for about 5 years restoring it back to where it should be... The previous owner had let it sit in the water which caused some corrosion problems and probably started the rot... I love this boat. What are my options? Can the bad area be cut out and repaired? :'(
