Up until now I didn't really care about having charging capabilities on this motor, but I am running longer and longer using my trolling motor and other accessories, and I'm about to leave on a multi-day fishing trip where I won't have easy access to charging. Anyway, I've not done much diagnosis here, but since my boat runs fine otherwise I'm wondering if I just don't have a shot rectifier. Is this a pretty fair assumption? I checked voltage on the battery while running and it does not change whether the motor is running or not. I haven't checked the leads from the rectifier however, and I haven't tried to read any of the leads from the stator either. 1994 Evinrude E10RELEO if memory serves me.
