Well after going and looking at this boat for the 3rd time I finally broke down and just bought it. Its a 1994 Sea Ray 200 Bowrider with a Mercruiser 5.7 Alpha One. The engine hasn't been ran in 3 years but the owner showed me the receipts and some tags that were still on the engine with the drain plugs attached. ( I have never seen that before.) I thoroughly checked the engine for outward signs of a bulging or cracked block and didn't see anything. All of the fluids were good in the outdrive and in the engine. The interior it is in great shape. The seats, side panels don't have any rips or tears and the dash has no cracks. The floor is another story. The owner kept this boat outside with the bow down for the last 3 years and the floor around the ski-locker is pretty soft. Also a tree limb smashed out the port side window. I was thinking about flipping this boat but I may keep it. I only paid 1000 bucks for it and it came with a 2006 Master Craft Tandem trailer with surge disk brakes. The trailer is pretty rough for being only 3 years old and is a little big for the boat, but that can be fixed...

awsome score, real nice boat for 1k what a sharp looker she is

bummer on the soft floor

sounds like the floor has to come up, replace rotted wood, reseal and glass in carpet, maintenance motor and drive, keep or sell you have a winner there!

too bad the trailer and boat colors dont match, that would look extra sharp.....either way you did well, have you ran it yet? Im sure you need a carb OHaul and new gas etc (if it has a carb)

WOW!! what a great looking boat! I already have a boat and would buy that in a second, even with the floor how it is. Nice find!

Since my new boat didnt come with a battery,I decided to hook it up to my truck via jumper cables. As oon as I got in I started pushing buttons and hitting switches and it was cool and all until I found the light switch. This boat is classy, I like it. Everything works gauges, horn, stereo,Etc. I just spent the last half hour sitting in the boat listening to music and making engine noises.:D

Here's a couple of pics of the engine. I took the belts off because they weren't gonna last long. I'm going to get new ones along with a new battery in the morning...

Wow. Looks like it's in pretty darn good shape. The engine looks nice and clean. I'd say you stole that rig for a grand. I'm quite jealous. I've got $3900 in a boat not nearly that nice. Congrats.

I would throw those pulleys on a lathe and sand em down and then repaint them before you spend a bunch of money on new belts. Those pulleys will chew up a belt pretty fast. Course you need to see if it even is a good block first, I would start out with a compression check. Why did the moron store the boat nose down. Never mind, I already know the answer.

The pulleys are almost perfect. I just took the belts off because they were pretty dry rotted. This engine turns over perfect, Im pretty confident shes gonna fire right up.

I have almost the same boat, mine's a 96 210 Signature series.
Same layout, dash and engine.
It's a nice riding, comfortable boat, you'll love it.
Watch out for the bellows, they're due - ask me how I know....

The boat looks great!! I don't know about that trailer though.....that rust doesn't look so good.....it looks like one of these days you're gonna be moving that thing around your driveway and the tongue is gonna come off.

Wow, you now have a boat in much nicer shape than anything I've owned so far, and I've probably spent a good $4000 redoing my 20 footer.

Even if that one requires a fulll rebuild (transom, stringers, deck) it's worth it for the engine (even if it's junk) and drive alone.

When you get it turning over check the compression numbers... I'm curious as to how much wear it's seen. It looks nearly new, I'm guessing less than 100 hours total use.

Nice.

Maybe it'll be alright if you pick the light flaking off and put some fresh paint on there....maybe some Rustoleum, I heard that works good.:D

Compression numbers perfect. Boat runs real good. Meter says engine has 71 hours...

Alpheus,
As all the other's have said, Very very nice find. Did it take you 3 trips to decide to pay 1k. If that's the case, it's a good thing I wasn't in the area.
Great boat, Will be looking forward to seeing more pic's.
