I bought it! Turns out my cousin is really good friends with the owner of the marina. The boat was on consignment, purchased new from them and maintained by them since new. The original owner bought a pontoon and was selling this on consignment. He looked up the book value and had it listed at that $9000 with no bites. Not a great time of year to try to sell. He called them and said he wanted it gone this week. The marina told him to list it at $6000 and take $5000. The owner said to list it at three and take the first buyer at that price. That would be me. With the entire service records I felt a lot better. While I didn't take it on the water, the marina owner had and said it ran great and topped out over 40 mph. The bellows look good, and the boat overall is in really good shape. There's really no deck rash, just a couple of small scratches. The big thing is that the top side gel coat is oxidized. I wet sanded a little spot when I got home and it shined right up!
It has snap in carpet in good shape, a good bimini, but will need a new storage cover. Two of the seat bottoms will need to be fixed/restitched. All of the equipment works, and it has a sink and a head. I will be taking the head out...
They ran it on a hose for me, and it runs really nicely. Really easy to get to the engine too.
They winterized it for me for free while we waited!
For $3000, I think I stole it.
