1997 50 hp Force

I have a 1997 force 50 it started to idle bad and not run good at wot. I remove card to clean it look what I found behind the carb. This is part of the dust cover on top of the flywheel. The fome in the top of the cowl. I removed it and cleaned the carb and replaced needle and gaskets runs good now. It should idle about 700 RPM in water in gear.
If you run it on muffs it should idle about 1100 RPM.
But set the idle in water in gear.
It is the best way to adjust it right.

Thanks for the info I will go to the lake soon I am a little low running on muffs

I thought it was, in gear in the water 750-800
Probably wrong but get the factory manual and let us know what you find???
